At the heart of Sydney's story is a little creek call the Tank Stream. The original fresh water source of the colonial settlement, the tank stream was a dominate feature of life and the landscape of Sydney. However, with "progress" we've covered and all but forgotten this central character in Sydney's history. I thnk it's time we corrected this wrong and brought the tank stream back up to ground level and made it a feature of the CBD.

We could remove a lane of parked cars from Pitt Street, maybe move the loading zones into underground parking lots, and make an amazing water feature though the middle of the city. We could have a small stream running from Pitt Street mall all the way down to the Quay.

They have a water feature like this at More London, and I've seen larger urban streams similar to this in Kyoto Japan and Vaduz Liechtenstein. Why not Sydney?
